We have had a wonderful experience at hun. My son is excited to go to school everyday. The teachers and other students are very warm and caring. He is looking forward to continuing on to the upper school next year.

McCoppin is small and mighty neighborhood school with an active and engaged parent community. Most of the students live within a few blocks of the school, which creates a really tight-knit and welcoming environment. The principal, teachers, and staff care deeply about the students and the Out of School (OST) program is top notch.

Safe, loving and caring environment, academically advanced school for those who likes to study and not only, healthy food, after school homework preparations , books reading, after school activities, parks, excursions, shows, plays and lots more, especially if the parents understand the importance of all of the above.

Went to this school for one year. Don't really have much to say bad about this school! Although this school gives way to much work to their diagnosticians with such a short amount of time to complete it all.

It's alright, some teachers here don't let their students go to the restroom and that goes crazy. They sometimes overreact when you're out in the halls

Bullying is the acceptable norm in the 6th grade class this year. Some good teachers and some that are awful. Principal needs to be leaving, as he is!

As a student attending Guajome since 7th grade, I don't recommend going to Guajome. Alot of relentless bulling, i tried to tell the teachers and administration to handle it. But it doesn't really seem that they care. Even being bullied in class by another student WHILE THE TEACHER WAS WATCHING! The teachers only told me to "Stop fighting with that person" please don't send your kids here.

I agree with the review below. This is an extremely challenging place to work, and teacher turnover will continue to be high. I hope it gets better in time, but as of now we are not on the right track.

The social workers do nothing about students issues. There is lots of favoritism going on between social workers and students. If you want your child to see someone these workers are not the solution. Teachers do not do much about bullying and social emotional issues. The curriculum is lacking. It’s either over explained or under explained. The work is never clear. Recently the food has been running out for the last lunch period. Many of the safety drills are treated as jokes and not taken seriously enough. The rules are always being arbitrarily placed and/or changed. School work is often too much for the majority of children with outside of school extracurriculars. The electives are very nice and well taught. It’s just very underfunded. Some extracurriculars are nicely set up but yet the teachers are not paid for their time and the school doesn’t directly fund them. They don’t do much about the bus riders being late to school or late home. Many buses smell like weed and the drivers are yelling at students the majority of time. The overall behavior is horrible. The teachers are lacking in taking action and let the students figure it out themselves. Overall if you had another option I’d say take it. You may make friends but most of the time it leads to fights and drama.

Run away while u can, The principal and staff are the worst. Especially the security guard . Security guard curses at kids day to day in front of the principal and he does nothing about it. Don't know how he got his position, maybe how the school is but definitely need a new principal. Every staff is two faced . Only good person there is Henri Zombil.

I couldn't be happier with our experience at the Juniper School! The teachers are truly exceptional—dedicated, compassionate, and highly skilled at fostering a love of learning in every student. They go above and beyond to ensure that each child feels supported and challenged, tailoring their approach to meet diverse needs and learning styles. The learning environment is equally impressive. The classrooms are vibrant and well-equipped, creating a stimulating atmosphere that encourages curiosity and creativity. The school emphasizes not just academic excellence, but also the social and emotional development of the students, nurturing well-rounded individuals. The community at Juniper School is warm and welcoming, making both students and parents feel like part of a big family. Our child has thrived here, both academically and personally, and we are incredibly grateful for the positive impact this school has had on our lives. I highly recommend the Juniper School to any parent looking for a top-notch education for their child!

A big NO. This school has taken my children's shining light and completely put it out. They used to love learning. They used to love going to school. Now? They hate school and don't want to go. How did St. Mark's do this? Last year, they lost teachers and apparently the Principal was caught off guard completely. They hired a 6th grade teacher who has zero teaching experience and isn't Catholic. 2 main requirements to teach at a Catholic school. Our middle schooler calls his classes with this teacher "Study Hall" where they play video games on their computers and have learned nothing all year. My 4th grader is sitting around and doing workbooks all day and a packet of homework for Monday that she finishes within 30 minutes and then nothing. Literally learning nothing. My middle schooler has a middle school math teacher who decides to give so much homework every night that the students hate math now. Job well done everyone. And you have to ask yourself: why pay for this?
