During my tenure at Locust Fork from the first to the twelfth grade, with the exception of a six-month period in the ninth grade when I attended a different institution, I had the privilege of receiving an exceptional education. This school was notably superior to the other high school I briefly attended, which faced challenges related to disruptive behavior and potential gang activity. Throughout my time at Locust Fork, I consistently felt supported and genuinely cared for by my teachers. It is my belief that individuals who express complaints about the school's quality are likely to do so regardless of the institution they attend, as they may have faced personal difficulties or academic challenges. Furthermore, parents who blame teachers for their children's shortcomings are often in denial about their children's own actions and responsibilities. During my high school years, I encountered a few students who consistently engaged in disruptive behavior and struggled academically. Unfortunately, their parents often resorted to playing the victim card, refusing to acknowledge their children's role in their own difficulties. After graduating from high school, I matriculated to The University of Alabama, where I felt well-prepared and even slightly ahead of my peers. This was largely due to the advanced placement classes and advanced diploma I had obtained at Locust Fork. Sports played a significant role in my high school experience, as I actively participated in three different sports. This aspect of my education was particularly valuable to me. In conclusion, I hold my time at Locust Fork in high regard and would not trade it for any other educational experience. I am confident that it is the best choice for my own children's education. Go Hornets class of 2008.

All three of my kids have gone to this school. I completely thankful for the teachers, Principal & safe. They put so much work into my children’s education. My youngest has dyslexia and now goes to ALLIES. Her 1st grade teacher was God sent. My middle is on a 504 plan and we’ve seen a major improvement from first year to now. They work so hard with him and it shows. My oldest is in middle school and still talks about how much she loved it here. I highly recommend this school

The principal literally disrespected me and my family they were pushy not to mention the place stinks and people smoke the start of the year it was my first time coming into holy cross it was unpleasing. the teaching method is basically the same as public if you expect to get “ prestigious academics” if the school even knows what that means students never are motivated to learn which I can see why.

This school is top-notch. River City Science Academy Mandarin has so much to offer that many local schools do not. RCSAM uses research based curriculum to ensure the best quality of education. They offer a wide variety of clubs (literally probably atleast 20-30 different clubs every year.) Clubs include fun academic clubs where students learn about topics of their interest, creative clubs such as drama, music, or art. They offer more social clubs such as dance club and yoga. They offer competitive clubs for students interested in competing in Science Olympiad, Model UN debates, SeaPerch, and more. RCSAM offers tutoring weekly for students who may be having a hard time academically. They also offer tutoring on Saturdays if needed! Gifted services are available for students who are advanced as well. RCSAM offers exciting experiences through quarterly field trips and in-school events. The staff is made of genuinely good people who care about the best interest of their students and their school. The administration works hard to ensure that all students achieve their goals and ensure staff is supported. RSCAM has a very active Parent Volunteer Organization (PVO.) The PVO offers movie nights for families, spring fairs, the Scholastic book fair, and so much more. They also work hard to ensure staff feels appreciated for their hard work. Parents have many opportunities to get involved in the school including PVO, All Pro Dad, chaperoning field trips, reading to classes, career day, and more. There are many ways for parents to be involved if they are interested! River City Science Academy Mandarin boasts so many accolades including: - Florida School of Character for encouraging positive character development. - Florida Department of Education has recognized it as a School of Excellence - RCSAM maintains an “A” School Grade for high-achieving academics. - The many academic and competitive clubs have received countless awards as well including Science Olympiad, SeaPerch, Model UN, and others. All that being said, no other local school can compare to the education and opportunities that River City Science Academy Mandarin has to offer.

The Waldorf School of Saratoga Springs is a fantastic school, and I can't recommend it enough. It is a verdant oasis in the desert of public school academics. Students learn to work with their hands, absorb information with their minds, and know that they are here for a purpose higher than the material world. The school balances the formation of the individual child with the importance of belonging to a community. Teachers live their vocation as educators, always modeling patience and warmth while also instilling curiosity and a love for learning. In addition to following the holistic pedagogy designed by Rudolf Steiner, WSSS is strictly a no-tech school. This is reason enough to choose this school over others, given the recent reports about how other schools are losing the battle with cell phones in classrooms. Waldorf students are knowledgeable about technology because they get exposure outside of school, but it's the parents that get to decide how much screen time their kids get at home. The no-tech environment combined with the unique, head, heart, hands approach to education makes this a wonderful place for children to learn and grow.

Hardly feels like a Christian school. They have chapel once a week and I guess that’s why they can say it’s Christian along with the name. The administration lacks education and have the personality of a door knob. For how old the school is, it seems like they are run like a start up. There’s not many options for private schools or we’d be moving to another one. We will have to pray that the right people get placed as the head of the school and they hire people that are leaders and not just collecting our money.

I have two students at this school and I volunteer with various aspects of the school to do what I can. The teachers are all wonderful, hard working, and engaged, however, the main problem with this school is that it is too small for the massive development of Rancho Mission Viejo. This was poor planning on behalf of the Capistrano Unified School district and RMV. Students from Sendero, Escencia, and the newer village of Rienda all are funneled into this school, which is too small even for the Escencia development. The school itself has no baseball or soccer field (there is one adjacent but it is outside of the school's boundary and is not used by students), and the school being impacted is having all of it's green space usurped by portables. There is a YMCA/court on the corner of the school, but students do not use the facility for recess and are confined to the upper basketball courts and the lower grass field (when staffing permits). This school has virtually no shade except a small shade over the common outside eating area so it gets extremely hot in the early summer and especially in the fall with the Santa Ana winds. This also means that when it rains the students have to stay inside their classrooms and watch TV during recess. Next year another 7 portables are being planned, taking away the lower basketball area, and class sizes are increasing again by 2 students. This school does not have a gymnasium, performance center, or common "assembly room" like most schools. Instead if has a small "multi-purpose center", which serves as a library one minute and a music practice room the next. A new school was planned for some years in the future, but it was delayed indefinitely by Capistrano Unified School district, which does not want to spend the money. I would love to rate this school higher because I'm invested in the community but it simply does not have the resources it needs. Drop off is also crazy by CUSD does not provide a bus service, even to Sendero or Rienda which are a couple of miles away. To end on a positive note, there is a lot of parental engagement and the parents value education. I grew up in a school where most parents were absent so this is refreshing to see!

My special needs adult child was currently working at skyline as a janitor through vocational rehabilitation. She has been working with them for years and has done a great job she recently turned 20 years old she's low functioning autistic she does make voices which we've worked on all year to get her to only do during appropriate time which I agree with. However she had gotten a tattoo the size of a quarter on her finger in between her fingers. The next day she was fired as a janitor due to her birthday gift of a tattoo. I am disgusted with this school it makes me sick and I promise you if I find anybody in that school with the tattoo when I go in there besides my child we will have a problem I will be contacting who I need to immediately.

I have had two children graduate from Paw Paw, and I have two children still enrolled. Our family is very grateful for PPPS. The size of the school is perfect; large enough for opportunity, but small enough for individual support. Administrators, teachers, and staff take the time to get to know the students and parents, so much so that I would count many of them as my friends. When our family needed help, they didn't hesitate. They supported us every step of the way. If your children loves music, Paw Paw Public School is the place for them. The choir and band programs are spectacular, and the theater department is amazing. Students are invited to participate in musicals as early as 3rd grade with annual Later Elementary, Middle School and High School productions. So many opportunities for the students of Paw Paw to shine and thrive. Paw Paw is a fantastic community to raise a family within, and the schools are a big reason why.

This school has been absolutely fabulous! All 4 of my children have attended here. They treat you like family. Teachers go out of their way to support students on a daily basis. They have so many family engagement opportunities and parent volunteers are always welcome. They have character education as a regular part of the day. They have art, music, PE and library as a regular part of the schedule. They also offer a variety of after school of activities. If you are looking for a school that feels like a home, this is it!

This is my don’s first year in WCH school district. I have had great an experience so far. All his teachers (with one exception…but that can be anywhere) have been great with communication. Teachers seem to update progress book regularly which I like very much. The school has a lot of family activities to engage the community. We were previously in a high rated school district, but I honestly think my son is receiving a more well rounded experience here. I’m very satisfied.
